Intro to Marbling

Come for the mesmerizing stochastic art, stay for the company

Monday, July 15, 2024

6:00pm to 9:00pm

2101 W 29th Ave

$5–$20

Come learn how to marble (that’s a verb!) paper from our friend June! You may have met June at The Opening, PowerPoint Party No. 15, or Glint: Beginning. She’s been marbling for 5 years.

June will teach us how to marble paper in the suminagashi style. She’ll give instructions and a demonstration at the beginning, then the rest of the time is yours to make marbled prints. The Company will provide all the supplies. If you’d like to bring something extra, you could bring other things you want to try marbling on, like various types of paper or other surfaces, but we can’t promise they’ll all work!

We have room for 8 attendees.
UPDATE: We’re sold out! But you can join the waiting list at the “Get Tickets” link.

Tickets cost $15 (free for members)
All attendees pay $5 for supplies (including members)

Don’t know what suminagashi marbling is? The photo above is a marbled print on paper that June made! You’ll make cool prints like that on paper, too.

You may cancel your ticket for a full refund up to 24 hours before the event. Click "manage tickets" in your confirmation email. Contact hello@thecompany.social with any questions.
