Membership

Our goal for The Company is to be a third place, a mix between a shared workspace, library, creative studio, and event space. We want it to be a place to meet, gather, celebrate, and build community—a place where we can intentionally and explicitly form and deepen supportive relationships.

We’re looking for members who resonate with this, who want to help make this kind of space sustainable. We aren’t an exclusive members-only club; we’re a member-supported community space.

If you can afford to support, we and so many people will be grateful for that support; if you can only ever provide your company, we’ll be grateful for that as well.

What does help entail?

Running a shared space involves a thousand little things. If you’d be willing to pick up a handful of those things, we’d be grateful and we’d give you reduced rates for membership.

Help could be keeping the space running smoothly: filling up the water filter at the end of the day, emptying wastebaskets, taking out the recycling, setting up chairs before an event, resetting the space after an event, shushing people during focus time.

Help could be improving or growing the space: building furniture, transporting things, planning events, helping with marketing, finding us grant money, volunteering to teach midnight classes.
